Biography:
Dr. Zainab Awada studied Pharmacy at Beirut Arab University, Lebanon and graduated as BS in 2008. She then joined the research group of Prof. Nathalie Zgheib at American University of Beirut and received MS in Pharmacology and Toxicology and PhD in Biomedical Sciences at the same institution. After that, she continued 4 years of postdoctoral fellowship at the International Agency for Research on Cancer, France supervised by Dr. Akram Ghantous. She has published >15 research articles in scientific journals, and her work spans the fields of pharmacogenetics of cancer treatments and epigenetic mechanisms of cancer risk factors, including smoking.
