It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the “International Cancer Research Conference” held in Singapore. On behalf of the conference organizers, we extend a hearty welcome to in-person participants as well as to those who are joining us virtually from around the world. We are living in a crisis era of increasing cancer incidence in both adults and children, and conferences like this one are desperately needed to advance our understanding of the growing cancer epidemic. This multi-disciplinary conference links basic, clinical and public health research on cancer. We attempt to address a variety of preclinical and clinical research topics on cancer including clinicopathologic presentations, prognostic features, genetics, various treatment modalities including immunotherapy and other targeted therapy, biologic basis of treatment, multi-omics analysis, preclinical drug research, biomarkers, and targeted therapy. This will be a great opportunity for all types of participants including young and senior researchers, scientists, clinicians and academicians to gain knowledge with the up-to-date information on various aspects of cancer. I encourage you to actively listen, engage in live discussions, network with your peers and widen your scope with better knowledge and research opportunities.

Cancer Research is a well organized conference that every researcher and layperson will enjoy. As there are more cancer researches reported every day, the topic is so relevant to all walks of life. Pollution, virus, sun damage, genetics, cigarette smoke, etc all increase cancer risk that we are all exposed to.

In line with this, my keynote speech will discuss new updates on cancer management and I shall focus on lung, prostate, skin, brain cancers and briefly mention other cancer sites if I have the time. It will be a great opportunity for all participants to know these recent advances. I promise to make it easy to understand with laymen terms as much as I can, despite the slides will show abstracts, diagrams and titles full of medical jargons! ???? So much to tell you in 40 minutes. Indeed other speakers will offer you also super nice experience as they are from famous international universities and institutes.

The venue, or city that holds this conference is very pleasant to visit, with relatively inexpensive hotels that I enjoy to go often! The shopping is lovely and you can always find the bargain or the dream gift you want to bring home to your loved ones.

It is an honor and great pleasure to write a few welcome notes for the International Cancer Research Conference, whose theme is: Breaking Barriers, Building Hope: Advancing Cancer Research and Care. Undoubtedly, the main goal of those involved in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer remains the increase in survival, but it is increasingly evident that the improvement of the quality of life must go hand in hand. The multi-disciplinary approach - in other words, synergy - is the necessary key to effectively achieve the aforementioned objectives. I sincerely hope that my modest contribution brought during this exciting International Conference can help stimulate the development of this strategy.
