Biography:
Tumaini Malenga is a public health researcher specializing in health systems, policy development, and human health behaviour across both infectious and non-communicable diseases. She currently serves as the Director of Programmes for Health at FACT Malawi. Previously, she held the position of Research and Policy Specialist with Malawi’s Ministry of Health (NTLEP) and worked as a Policy Analyst at AFIDEP, where she led initiatives in health and well-being, policy research, and stakeholder engagement. She is also a Research Fellow with the Consortium for Advanced Research and Training in Africa (CARTA) and a Young African Leaders Fellow at the European University Institute’s School of Transnational Governance. Tumaini has extensive experience in multi-sectoral collaboration, evidence-informed policy development, and the advancement of community-centred health interventions across Southern Africa.
