Biography:
Dr. Karim earned his B.Sc. and M.Sc. from the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh, before pursuing a Ph.D. in developmental neurobiology at RIKEN Brain Science Institute, Japan (2012). He completed postdoctoral research at Johns Hopkins University, Doshisha University, and Kyoto University, with JSPS fellowship support (2015–2017). His work on Drosophila neuron diversification was published in Nature Neuroscience (2011). Since 2014, he has served as faculty at Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh. Currently, his research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of cancer and the influence of lifestyle factors on cancer epidemiology.
