Title : Nursing strategies and challenges in managing chemotherapy pelated symptoms among breast cancer patients in the gaza strip under crisis conditions.

Abstract:

Breast cancer remains the most prevalent malignancy among women in the Gaza Strip, where patients face not only the physical burden of the disease but also the compounded effects of ongoing crisis conditions. This study explores nursing strategies and challenges in managing chemotherapy-related symptoms among breast cancer patients within this complex environment. A descriptive cross-sectional design was adopted to assess the effectiveness of symptom management approaches used by oncology nurses in local hospitals and outpatient oncology units. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and interviews with oncology nurses to identify key challenges, including limited resources, staff shortages, and psychological stress. The findings highlight the resilience and adaptability of nursing staff in providing evidence-based care despite severe constraints. The study emphasizes the need for continuous training, psychosocial support, and resource optimization to improve the quality of nursing care and patient outcomes under the current crisis conditions in Gaza.
